Wesley was very well represented at this year's BTYSE by two Transition Year students, Danial Ahmad and Hector Andrews Mccarroll. Their project was called "Cat Nap Concentration": it was a study of whether 20 minute "cat-naps" during the day had an effect on a students performance in a concentration test. Wth the help of many volunteers form Year 1 and Transition Year, they carried out tests in the months leading up to teh BTYSE in January. Overall, they found a small disimprovement on test scores after taking the nap as against performance without a nap.
Although they didn't feature in the prizes, their project got a lot of positive feedback from the judges and they even got a television interview form TV3!
